Access Garage Doors Celebrates First Female Co-Owner and Western Franchise Location

Darryl and Dana Meadows Bring Low-Overhead National Franchise to Northern Colorado

BERTHOUD, Colo. – (August 2022) – Access Garage Doors, an industry leader with more than 17 years of experience in residential and commercial garage door repair and installation, is growing its presence in the West with its first location in Colorado. The company is proud to welcome Darryl and Dana Meadows as the owners of Access Garage Doors of NoCo (Northern Colorado).

The husband-and-wife duo owned several home improvement businesses before landing in Colorado. Dana, the first female co-owner in the Access Garage Door family, has worn many professional hats — from cosmetologist to secretary and other roles within their various ventures. She is excited to use her skillset in a primarily male field.

“We both felt like, with garage doors, what a great way to be able to go in and make somebody happy and make their home look beautiful,” said Dana. “It makes sense for us to start a family business with both of us working in the business.”
Darryl was uniquely inspired by his 6th thru 12th-grade shop teacher, who taught him many skills, including a good work ethic. His teacher became a role model to Darryl.

“He instilled in me really good work ethics and the ability to do ‘all things home,’” said Darryl. “He was the person who I respected the most.”
After researching other franchise opportunities, a family member suggested Access Garage Doors, and it was the perfect fit. The pair will split responsibilities, with Dana being the office manager and Darryl managing sales and service. They will serve communities from Boulder to Fort Collins to Greeley, Colorado.

“We looked at a lot of different business opportunities but found, after talking with friends and family, investigating, and doing our research, that Access Garage Doors was a hidden gem! Their business model fits with our morals, ethics, and goals.”
