How to Align Garage Door Sensors Yourself

Step 1: Turn Off the Power

Both sensors should be mounted 4–6 inches above the ground on the inside of the garage door tracks. Make sure they’re tightly secured but adjustable.

Step 4: Adjust and Align the Sensors

- Re-tighten the wing nuts carefully while maintaining alignment
Step 5: Test the Door
Restore power and try closing the door. If it now operates normally, the sensors were successfully aligned.
